31 Common Medications About to be in Short Supply Throughout Australia

During the next three months, 31 new, commonly used medications, will be in short supply throughout Australia, according to the Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA). These medications include commonly prescribed antibiotics, chemotherapy drugs, antispasmodics for incontinence, birth control pills, endometriosis drugs, angina drugs, anti-inflammatories, blood pressure beta blockers and cancer medications.
If you have trouble finding these medications for yourself, your patients or your customers talk to us – we may be able to help.
As a fully licensed compounding pharmacist we can make up medications from scratch, in our purpose-built laboratory, during times of short supply. We use only the highest quality raw ingredients, sourced from reputable suppliers and rigorously tested for purity and safety.
By turning to compounded medication, rather than an alternative and sometimes inferior drug, you or your patient can continue treatment uninterrupted and complications that may arise from starting on a new medication can be avoided.
